Our indigenous yam species, fruit species and local vegetable varieties are some good examples. They have a very good market potential locally and internationally. In addition, dietary diversity can be enriched by diverse food items resulting healthy lifestyle of the nation.
Identify potential crop species suitable for different agro ecological zones. Breed and multiply selected species and varieties and distributed among potential growers.
Develop value addition and sustainable marketing supply chain.
