Not all students pass the A/L’s. It’s not because they are not smart, but possibly more interested and talented in other ways. If we can implement a system for them to attend to various vocational training institutions even after O/L’s, they will gain necessary knowledge and experience to massively contribute to the country’s economy.
I’m not saying that people need to be carpenters or painters, but be better-qualified, well-disciplined people who follow new technologies like foreign technicians who is a highly-paid workforce. We need to change the negative thinking of the new generation regarding these jobs (e.g., There are no proper places to learn carpentry. Students spend millions to become designers, without having basic knowledge).
Additionally, their English education must be encouraged because if they are fluent in English, their skills are more transferrable.
